Das gilt seit hundert Jahren, seit Hugo von Hofmannsthal und Arthur Schnitzler und wurde bestätigt durch Peter Handke und Thomas Bernhard, Elfriede Jelinek und Robert Menasse. Doch die Abgrenzung zwischen dem Lokalen und dem Rest der literarischen Welt hat sich zunehmend verschärft. The goal of this report is to develop a framework to continuously observe and analyze the career paths of fiction authors and their work across European book markets, with a special emphasis on translation, and how books travel across linguistic borders.
