What we do

Our aim and ambition is to get a reading of books and publishing worldwide.

In our industry reports, we map and analyse the global publishing industry and international book cultures for a better, both data driven and intuitive understanding.

In professional conference programs which we prepare, we want to connect people with ideas, and organizations with insights on how the ongoing transformation of the book business and culture can evolve.

With a small core team based in Vienna, Austria, all our projects are developed in respective teams with long time associates from our international network, as well as with ever new partners and clients.

Our industry reports, which are mostly updated on a regular basis, include the Global 50 Ranking of International Publishing (since 2007), the Global eBook (since 2011), Digital Consumer Book Barometer (since 2018) and the Diversity Report series (since 2010).

Conferences curated by us include ReBoot: Books, Business and Reading (sincefall 2020), the Global 50 CEO Talks at the Frankfurt Book Fair, Publishers’ Forum in Berlin (for Klopotek and Partners, 2014 to 2019), Global Market Forum at BookExpo America (until 2017).

Academic research and training projects include  ERead (“Stavanger Declaration“), ELIT Network, and SIDT (Sustaining and Innovating Cultural Diversity in Literary Translation, supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, and started in fall 2020).
